10 million dollars housing support from South Korea to earthquake victims in Turkey
While trying to heal the wounds of the 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes that occurred in the Pazarcık and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaraş last month and were effective in 10 provinces in Turkey, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol announced that he would support the earthquake victims. Addressing the members of the Korean Disaster Relief Team, who were sent to Turkey to assist in search and rescue efforts after the earthquakes in Turkey, Yoon said, "The spirit of solidarity you have displayed on the ground in Turkey reminds us that South Korea and Turkey are true friends who face every challenge together. reminded me once again," he said. Stating that "the South Korean government and the private sector will provide over 10 million dollars of financing for the temporary housing project that Turkey will implement for earthquake victims," Yoon also shared the information that the Korean Shipowners Association has decided to send 250 shipping containers to Turkey to be used as temporary housing. Yoon added that the government will support the shipment of the said containers to Turkey by April at the latest.
