Türkiye-Korea Tours Started on the 70th Anniversary of Friendship

Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) and Asiana Airlines are organizing a Korean Friendship and Culture Tour to reinforce the brotherhood of the two countries and to mark the 70th anniversary of the Korean War ceasefire and the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey. 

A Wreath Laying Ceremony was held at the United Nations Martyrs' Cemetery in Busan with the participation of the relatives of Korean Veterans and Martyrs living in Turkey. The Korea Friendship and Culture Tour, which offers an unforgettable experience, will continue to be held on September 6 and October 18.  

A total of 18 visitors, 10 of whom were relatives of Korean Veterans, participated in the tour program, the first of which was held at the end of last June. The famous influencer Chaby Han, who has been living in Turkey since 2007 and has been engraved in our memory with the Ayla movie, Elin Son and Survivor programs, also participated in this tour and videotaped the flow of the tour from a special angle to share with his followers. As part of the Korea Friendship and Culture Tour, in addition to Korean culture, art, touristic-historical beauties, Korean delicacies, entertaining activities and shows, regions related to the Korean War were visited, and a Wreath Laying and Commemoration Ceremony was held for our Korean veterans and martyrs at the United Nations Cemetery in Busan on Sunday, June 25.

With the tour organization that will be re-organized on September 06 and October 18, historical-cultural places such as Gyeongju region and Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Korean Folk Village, which are UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites, United Nations Memorial Park in Busan, Turkish Cemetery, Turkish Hero Soldiers Monument in Yongin-Seoul and the demilitarized DMZ zone separating North and South Korea after the war. ayıran savaş sonrasında yapılan askerden arındırılmış DMZ bölgesi gezilecek.

Hyuncho Cho, Director of the Istanbul Office of the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "We are very happy to lead the Korea Friendship and Culture Tour to strengthen the bond between the two countries and express our gratitude. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Asiana Airlines for co-organizing this campaign, and to thank the Turkish Combat Veterans Association, Turkish Korean Veterans Commemoration Society and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization for their support of our tour programs."
